Founder of the Green Party Ralph Nader, has released his first ever novel! For those of you who are not hip to the Green King, read and learn:
Ralph Nader is the man responsible for the Environmental Protection Agency, an Occupational Safety and Health Administration, a Consumer Product Safety Commission, and a Safe Drinking Water Act. He was named by both Time and Life Magazine as one of the 100 most influential Americans of the 20th century. The About the Author, in his new book reads, “crusading attorney Ralph Nader has helped us drive safer cars, breathe better air, and work in safer environments for more than four decades.”
The book entitled, “Only the Super Rich Can Save Us,” is a 736 page hard cover, fictional story involving real life characters, namely: Warren Buffet, Ted Turner, Yoko Ono and Phil Donahue. They set off to start a progressive revolution using their grand collective wealth. The progressive revolution is a practical green and left wing Utopian society. Very hip indeed.
Stylistically Nader evokes Ayn Rand’s 1957 classic, “Atlas Shrugged”, in which all of the world’s great creative minds go on strike, and leave the less talented world to fend for itself, in a rally for individualism. Nader’s idea is clearly influenced by this. However his political and economic ideals are WAY different! In terms of it being a manifesto of sorts, “Only the Super Rich Can Save Us,” is almost a neo-socialist work.
