Research at UCLA has managed to measure the speed at which our brains process information. Apparently, this processing speed depends on the Myelin thickness of the brain’s axons.
Moreover, Myelin’s thickness is largely determined by genetic factors, meaning the speed at which we process information is largely determined by inheritance and not by environmental factors. Nevertheless, worry not, because intelligence is more than the speed at which we process information — it is so much more!
