We Didn’t Mean Green As A Double Entendre

In 1975 the United States government pushed something which they called “the coming ice age.” “The Weather Conspiracy” was a book published by Random House and written by 18 authors who lived a spitting distance away from Washington. Newsweek fell in line shortly after the release of the book and did a cover issue on April 28, 1975 about global cooling, and on Aug. 14, 1976 the New York Times reported “many signs that Earth may be headed for another ice age.”

The EnvironmentalistIn 1974, the National Science Board reported: “During the last 20 to 30 years, world temperature has fallen, irregularly at first but more sharply over the last decade. Judging from the record of the past interglacial ages, the present time of high temperatures should be drawing to an end…leading into the next ice age.”

The Christian Science Monitor observed in the same year that armadillos were retreating south from Nebraska to escape the “global cooling” issue.

Well now that you are all sitting on the iceberg of rational scientific data from the 70′s, let’s hope that it does not melt under the global warming hype of the last decade.

We at NaturalBuy.com are green enthusiasts, that is to say we cherish our planet and would like to keep her healthy. This post is not meant to be a sudden wheel jerk to the right, but a call for some honesty and clarity – this must come first from our trusted scientists. No we are not skeptics; we merely seek the truth, in the name of nature’s health.

Al Gore and his camera crew, while making “An Inconvenient Truth” flew first class, consuming 50% more jet fuel per seat-mile than coach fliers; and we have heard that his Tennessee mansion uses as much carbon as 20 average homes.

Once Gallileo claimed that the earth revolved around the sun and not vice versa. He was silenced by his government, in the name of religion. Today it seems that our scientists are the ones with the stash of blindfolds and muzzles – and in the name of money.

Clean it up you guys.
