Last week, the National Space Society issued a dazzling — and slightly suspicious — press release, claiming that they’re going to demonstrate on Friday a long-range wireless transfer of electrical energy! Well, Friday had passed by now, and I couldn’t find any reference on the net to this supposedly-spectacular experiment.
In any case, that sort of technology is quite amazing, and it has the potential to change the way we’re all living. From wireless lamps to space-based Solar Power, this is the stuff of science-fiction.
And they were already doing it in 1975:
